Charity Concert at the Bridgewater Hall
Sunday 25th March – 7:30pm
“That’s Entertainment”
Our plan had been to try again to do
‘Pyjama Game’ in the spring. However, due to lack of interest this had to be
cancelled.
Instead, KAOS has been invited to take
part in a Charity Concert, to be held at the Bridgwater Hall, Manchester. The
concert is in aid of St Ann’s Hospice. It will feature 6 Amateur Societies
singing songs from various shows. Each Society has 20 minutes to show what they
can do on the fantastic stage at the concert hall. Performing to a possible
audience of 1800 people, it will be one of the biggest shows KAOS has ever done.
Brenda Brown, who directed our last show,
has kindly offered to help us prepare a performance. She has taken a section
from the show we did last October, and arranged it for performance at the
Bridgewater Hall.

Inspiration !
For
anyone who has never been to the Bridgewater Hall before – here is what it
looks like from the stage ! We have
a large version of this stuck up on
the notice-board in the rehearsal room – to inspire us!
You can do a ‘virtual tour’ on
the Bridgewater Hall website, of you want to see more.
Tell
everyone about it and bring your friends.

OTHER NEWS
AGM
It is
nearly AGM time again, notifications will be posted out soon. We need as many
members as possible to attend the AGM, because we are going to have to discuss
several important issues. This includes the future direction the Society should
take. We struggle at the moment to find ‘book shows’ that the Society can
cast. This leaves us with very few choices. We all need to discuss the situation
and look to the future.

Our Weakest Link !
Well done to Jenny Grossett. She recently
starred in the BBC 2 Quiz show -
‘The Weakest Link’. Not only
did she take part, but she won as well.
We
didn’t know you were so clever – Jenny !
only joking.
Well done.

with great sadness that I have to announce that Bessie Prosser passed away last
week.
Bessie
was a hard working, long time member of the Society and will be greatly missed.
Whether it was Front of House, wardrobe or the many social functions, Bessie was
always there to help.
